Facebook was created for other people to talk to other people online. It was created in 2004.
2. What do you know about Myspace?
All I know about Myspace is that it is a social media site that was created around the time Facebook was created. But as a matter of fact, Facebook is much more popular than Myspace now. 3. Do you think that as fast as social media sites are created, new ones are created, making the current ones obsolete? explain.
Having new social media sites doesn't always mean people would be using the old ones anymore. The old one will only lost large amount of population if the new one is better than the old social media site.

Facebook was created for other people to talk to other people online. It was invented by Mark Zuckerberg at the age of 23 in February 2004. Facebook was originally used by college and highschool students to transfer data and infornation. Later facebook developed into a larger social media networking site that can help people make friends, send gifts, or just relaxing socially.
2. What do you know about Myspace?
Myspace was created by Dewolf and Anderson in 2003. Myspace is a social media site that allows people to share music, video, and chatting with friends. Myspace was once one of the world most visited and used website ever, it at that time have more "clicks" than google. During the period of time between 2005 and 2006, the population increase of myspace members increase from 2 million to 80 million. Because of all these population, myspace experienced some safety and technical issues around that time. Comparing to facebook, myspace is not that popular now than it was few years ago.
3. Do you think that as fast as social media sites are created, new ones are created, making the current ones obsolete? explain.
Having new social media site doesn't always means that there wouldn't be anymore people using the old ones. How ever it is the case here. facebook was created one year later than myspace, but facebook now have way more population than myspace. This would only be the case if the new social media site is better in all aspects than the ones before it.

I already know that Facebook and Myspace are very similar to each other. They are both social media sites that people normally would go on, to chat with their friends or do any thing they want to do personally. Looking up history of social media sites and see how they were formed and launched is very interesting. I can't really believe at first that Mark Zuckerberg at the age of 23 can actually create one of the world's most popular social media site, facebook. Facebook was actually created for college students only at the beginning when it was launched. On the other hand, Myspace was created by Dewolf and Anderson in 2003. Dewolf is the CEO of the company. Between Facebook and Myspace, the reason for Facebook to be much more popular than Myspace today is because anyone was able to create an account in Facebook but Myspace was only open to teens. Myspace was changed to be accessible for all people in 2008. Myspace was created for medias such as music, videos, chatting, and make friends. Facebook was used to transfer data and information from one college student to another college student and chatting.
